“Biodynamics is a strategic axis of our development”

“Dynamis was founded on very strong values instilled by Elodie and Markus Zeiher, pioneers in organic and biodynamic agriculture. Today, it still really feels like we are going beyond the phytosanitary issue by promoting Demeter labeled products,” explains Stanislas Henriot, manager of Dynamis. “We are determined to stay true to those strong commitments. Establishing a relationship of trust with our producers is essential. We favor high quality products, ancestral varieties that have specific logistic and technical constraints. That is why we pay particular attention to our speed of execution.”

For Stanislas, these strong values are part of the genetic makeup of the company and are not negotiable. According to him, consumers look for something other than cheap products without pesticides. That is why he is not interested in a “race for low prices”. “We want to maintain a true balance in the relations between production and distribution. Constantly looking for low prices also means embarking on a spiral that seems dangerous for everyone.”

Demeter label: “a wider vocation than organic”

If Dynamis has established itself as a pioneer in organic agriculture, the company’s pioneering position in biodynamics is even stronger. “The Demeter label actually reflects the initial choices made by the founding team and perpetuated over time.” According to Stanislas, to be certified Demeter does not only mean fighting against chemical inputs. It also means being in harmony with nature, favoring human relations and soil fertility, respecting the producers, the nutritional quality of the product, and even animal welfare.

“For example, we know our producers personally and talking with them is essential. We want them to be able to count on us in case of difficulties. Dynamis has already provided real material help to its producers in the past. We do not want to look at organic values through a reductive prism, focused on “no pesticide”, an argument that is often used by newcomers. Initially, organic agriculture conveyed many deeper values which we want to continue to defend, particularly through the Demeter label.”

Favoring a local agriculture

In the same vein, Dynamis wants to favor local products. “We offer a range of various products with a very strong favoritism for the French origin, which represents 50% of our offer. We orient ourselves towards increasing our partnerships in the Ile de France region, in order to meet our clients’ legitimate demand regarding transportation and the carbon footprint.”
