J&J Family of Farms announces that Clayton Amestoy is promoted to Director of Farming. In his new role, Amestoy is responsible for directing all farming operations, managing farm food safety and communications with the sales and commodity management teams.
“Farming is in my blood,” said Amestoy. “I am excited to continue growing and evolving in my role at J&J. My focus is on continuing to provide leadership to our farming operations, developing new proprietary varieties and continue providing the best produce we can grow in Florida to our customers.”
Amestoy is a fourth-generation farmer bringing over 15 years of farming leadership to J&J. He grew up on the Amestoy family farm in Boynton Beach, Florida and has had broad experience growing in South Florida. Amestoy received his BS Degree from Florida Southern College in 2004. He will continue to report to Dick Bowman, Vice President of Farming and Grower Development.
“Clayton has shown great leadership and dedication to our farming operations since joining J&J in 2016 as Senior Farm Manager. He deserves this promotion and takes on a larger leadership role as we continue increasing our acreage and developing best in class grower partners” said Bowman.
