Sol Group has announced its entry into the production and marketing of summer melons. Sol’s summer program will include cantaloupes and honeydews, and through a joint-venture with Milas and Diana Russell, Sol Group will offer the full line of Kiss melons, which includes Sugar Kiss, Summer Kiss, Honey Kiss, and Golden Kiss.

Sol Group says it is the largest grower and supplier of melons during the offshore season. By entering the summer season, Sol is now able to offer a year-round supply of melons.
“We’re excited to offer retailers our first summer melon program with the same quality and dependability Sol Group provides during the winter season,” says Juan Carlo Blanco, Sol’s Head of Operations.
“Our customers have been asking us for a full year supply for some years now and we’re happy to respond to their request. They no longer need to switch to a different supplier during the summer months.”
All melons offered in the summer program are grown in Yuma, Arizona, and Southern California, and will be available starting mid-May.
