Pagoda enters the market in China's northwest

Pagoda opens this year's first regional distribution center in Xi'an, China

Pagoda, one of China's most famous fruit suppliers, settled in Xi'an on March 22nd, 2019. They opened 5 new stores in Xi'an and in doing so officially entered the market in China's northwest. On opening day the fruit stores showed a diverse and attractive supply of Jinmei Honey melons, imported European plums, small Tainung mangoes, and imported durian that had customers fighting to purchase some.

Pagoda was established in 2001 and already has more than 3,700 stores in more than 70 cities throughout China. Pagoda devised their strategy for China's northwest following growing urbanization and increasing consumption levels in the region. Pagoda stores gradually spread to third- and fourth-tier cities. Many Pagoda stores integrate online and offline shopping, which is an important innovation in the fresh fruit retail industry.
