MSC improves connections between Baltic and other European ports

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is updating its network to better serve shippers moving cargo between the Baltic region and key North European hubs, connecting with destinations worldwide.
MSC’s holistic approach to the region means that they can offer a variety of different solutions for shippers.

MSC also seeks to enhance schedule reliability, while ensuring that transit times remain competitive in those regions, to ensure they match customers’ expectations.

The implementation of the new network is planned for Spring 2019 and remains subject to further updates.

Highlights:

  • Loop 01 – from the hub of Antwerp to Norrkoping & Riga; and for Tallinn exports
    Port Rotation: Antwerp – Norrkoping – Riga – Tallinn – Antwerp
  • Loop 03 – better connecting Russia and Latvia with Germany
    Port Rotation: Bremerhaven – Kaliningrad – Riga– Bremerhaven
  • Loop 05 – improving connections for Sweden
    Port Rotation: Antwerp – Gothenburg – Helsingborg – Antwerp
  • Loop 08 – new call for imports to Tallinn
    Port Rotation: Antwerp – Tallinn – Stockholm – Gavle – Antwerp
  • Loop 11 – new call to London Gateway from St Petersburg and Gdynia
    Port Rotation: London Gateway – Antwerp – St Petersburg – Gdynia – London Gateway
