Brexit: Third vote not ruled out despite new ruling

Theresa May has said she is pressing on with her Brexit deal despite a ruling yesterday by Commons Speaker John Bercow that she cannot bring the same deal back for a third time without substantial changes having been made to it.

John Bercow cited a ruling from 1604 in his ruling, but according to the BBC Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay has suggested that MPs would "find a way" to get another vote. The Government still has to persuade the 10 members of the DUP to back the proposal to have any hope of passing it.

There are only 10 days left until the UK is set to leave the EU. The EU ministers are meeting in Brussels for a summit this week and are expected to discuss whether to grant an extension to the Brexit process. It will need agreement from all 27 member states.
