Sales director Massimiliano Moretti reports that "we are very pleased with how things have gone so far, and quantities have increased since we extended the processing facility. Last year, our fresh-cut range increased by 12% while, in 2017, the increase was 30%. We will reach new objectives in 2019."
260 thousand punnets of ready-to-eat organic fruit were sold in 2018. Pineapple and fresh fruit salad were the most popular products.
"We are hoping for ready-to-eat bags to do well in the summer months. We introduced them last year and we are aiming to reach 100 thousand watermelon packets in 2019. It is a very interesting product, practical and convenient."
There is also the juice line. In 2018, Agribologna produced around 200 thousand pieces, which should reach 400 thousand in 2019.
"Our main distribution channel is the retail chain, which absorbs approximately 65% of the processed fruit production. But the H&R sector also seems to be doing well. We have around 80 products in total so we can meet all kinds of market demands."
