The French market has absorbed 90% of the Maltese exports

Tunisia: 11,500 tons of citrus fruits exported

Between October 2018 and March 12th, 2019, Tunisia exported 11,573 tons, compared to 10,206 tons at the same period last year.

According to Rim Dridi, assistant director of applied research of the Interprofessional Fruit Group, revenues from Tunisian exports exceeded 21 million dinars [7 million USD], compared to a little over 20 million dinars [6.65 million USD] at the same period last year. The French market absorbed, between October 2018 and March 12th, 2019, more than 90% of the total Maltese exports, which is 10,340 tons of the total 10,520 tons. The remaining quantities were exported to the Gulf countries, Canada, Libya and other countries of the European Union.

As for the exports of the “tangerine” variety, they increased to 368 tons, compared to 310 tons last year.
