"The experience of preparing freshly squeezed juice is highly appreciated by the customer, not only for the nutritional qualities of fresh juice, but also for the experience of seeing it prepared before their very eyes," says Massimo Masi, sales manager of the fresh products department of Conad del Tirreno, which has more than 460 sales points in Italy.
This is a market that relies on the Mediterranean diet, which is characterized by a high fruit and vegetable consumption and a preference for natural and healthy products. Freshly-squeezed juice thus becomes the ideal accompaniment to meals or the most nutritious snack. This trend is also observed in other parts of the world, since the demand for freshly squeezed juice is increasing by 5% every year. Orange juice remains the favorite, accounting for 46% of the total consumption.
