Annual EUCOFEL assembly to be held in Warsaw on March 15

FruitVegetablesEUROPE (EUCOFEL), an organization made up of associations of producers and exporters from different European Member States, including FEPEX, will hold its annual Assembly in Warsaw on Friday, March 15. A discussion panel on the future of the CAP after 2021 will then be organized, as well as a forum on innovation and research in the fruit and vegetables sector. FEPEX, led by Juan Marín, who is also president of Proexport, holds the presidency of this European organization.

The debate table on the future of the CAP after 2021 will count with the participation of the European Commission's Director General of Agriculture, Jerzy Plewa, as well as of heads of the Ministry of Agriculture of Poland and European parliamentarians. Together, they will analyze the changes and opportunities of the future CAP in the fruit and vegetable sector. This CAP, in fact, has yet to be approved by Parliament, so the negotiations to this end will have to resume after the elections planned for May.

As complementary events to the Eucofel assembly, there will also be an analysis of the opportunities for fruit and vegetable exports in the Chinese market. Subsequently, there will be a forum on innovation and research in the sector, which will be divided into two parts: one dedicated to the producing sector, which will involve representatives of leading sectoral associations of France, Spain and Poland, and another dedicated to the industry.

Moreover, the promotional campaign "CuTE: Cultivating the Taste of Europe", which will be carried out between 2019 and 2021, will be presented. It is being organized within the framework of the promotional programs co-financed by the European Commission. Lastly, there will be news regarding the next edition of FRUIT ATTRACTION, to be held from October 22nd to 24th in Madrid.
