The price of bananas in the Chinese market is currently on an upward trend. This is not only the case for Chinese bananas, but also for many bananas from Vietnam or the Philippines. "We produce bananas in bulk on our farm in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, we also cooperate with other farmers. We have 100 hectares of banana plantations under cooperative management. As for the production volume, we have produced 8 times more this year than we did last year. The main reason for this rapid increase is the high price of bananas last year, as much as 4 yuan [0.60 USD] per kg, which encouraged us to rapidly expand the surface area devoted to banana plantation. We used banana trees to replace previously unprofitable crops." This is according to Mr. Huang.
