Our knowledge and experience as growers helped us develop our sorting machine

A good sorting line is an important part of the production process. When you have a good sorting line, it can be a huge advantage for production quality and efficiency. There are a number of sorting line producers around and therefore it is harder to compete when entering new markets. “One of our goals is to expand our business to new countries and supply them with our high tech machines. However, in some markets the competition is too high and the market too small for new companies to enter. For example in Europe, there are a lot of small manufactures that produce sorting lines for their own area. To get a foothold in those markets is thus very difficult. That is why we look at other areas such as South Africa and the Middle East, which are more open to new companies. We deliver a product for a good price, with a technology equal to those in Europe,” said Hill Zhou from the Reemoon Technology Holdings Co. Ltd..

On the Chinese market there are also plenty of sorting line producers, though Hill Zhou emphasizes that Reemoon has a clear difference from the other sorting line companies in China: “We did not start as a sorting line company. In the beginning we started as an orange grower. We had our own fields and packed our own oranges. That is when we also started to develop our own packing and sorting-line machines. We well understand therefore what citrus companies are looking for, because we were a grower before too. In the end we focused more on developing the sorting lines, and with all our knowledge and experience, we developed the ones we are providing nowadays. Actually, we still grow oranges - we have a field of 200 hectares of navel oranges. We did not leave our roots behind, but our main business is now focused on producing sorting line machines.”

Reemoon has its head office in China. In the Chinese market most of their clients consist of citrus, kiwi and apple companies. Though they are also present in other countries. “We opened an office in South Africa and since then we have expanded a lot there. Furthermore, we have agents in Spain, Israel and Egypt to give better and direct service in those areas as well. Our main focus is on small and middle sized enterprises, we also provide our service to larger companies. We try to give the best service to every customer, to really differentiate ourselves from other companies.”
