Net profit of Coop dropped off in 2018

The net profit of the Coop Group decreased from 485 million Swiss francs in 2017 to 473 million Swiss francs. After announcing the Coop Group's sales figures at the beginning of the year, Coop today announced its profits. Compared with the previous year, it fell by 2.6% to CHF 473 million.

The increase in customer frequency was not quite as high as in the previous year, but it increased by 3.1%. With 2,313 sales outlets, by the end of 2018 Coop operated the densest network of retail outlets.
