Retroactively from 1 January 2019, EDEKA Foodservice, the wholesale consumer organization within the EDEKA network, will take over all of the Handelshof stores, including Handelshof Management GmbH, from the existing shareholders. The contract between the two parties was signed on Friday, February 15, and is still subject to antitrust approval.
'Perfect match'
The Handelshof Group will remain as an independent company, retaining its traditional strengths, benefiting from the supraregional cooperation with EDEKA Foodservice.
