China: Banana sales up after holidays but the freight rates hit increase

At present, most production areas have been opened up for shipments and the price of bananas is relatively stable while some regions are showing a slight upward trend. Compared with previous years, the price of bananas in Yunnan and Guangdong and Guangxi is relatively low, though some have risen slightly. Laos, Myanmar and other places have a large volume of goods, and the freight rate is high, which led to a small decline of shipments.

Before and after the Spring Festival, the transport fee was too high but now it has passed the drivers will return to work and the current freight rate has been lowered. The situation should improve after the Lantern Festival.
