Japanese fast food chain "Freshness" occasionally decorates its burgers with fruit - most recently with blueberries. What at first sounds like a mismatch, seems to be a true trend. The sweet and savory burger consists of onions and lettuce, stacked with two slices of bacon and a beef tenderloin, which is then refined with braised blueberries and ricotta.

Last year, Freshness released both a peach burger and a mango burger. It probably tastes like McDonald or Burger King is putting raspberries and apple in their Big Tasty Bacon. (And, well, cranberries are put on burgers in this country, sometimes) However, the Japanese seem to go full force for it in any case, insisting on this fast food fruit combo.
