Augura continues its efforts to consolidate Colombian bananas in Germany

The Banana Association of Colombia (Augura) continues strengthening the sector's international alliances with the European Union, with the aim of consolidating the Colombian banana market in Germany. The president of the guild, Juan Camilo Restrepo Gomez, met with Hans-Peter Knudsen Quevedo, Colombia's ambassador to Germany, on Tuesday, February 5 in Bogota. Jaime Henriquez Gallo, the president of the board of directors of Augura, and Carla Henriquez, of the Santamaría Group, also attended the meeting.

Juan Camilo Restrepo, the president of Augura said: "Germany is one of the main partners of the Colombian banana market and this meetings will always be important. On this occasion, we discussed the issue of land adaptation in Uraba, the denomination of origin for Colombian bananas, and entering European Union markets."
