Australian fresh produce company, Nutrano Produce Group Limited, has announced the appointment of George Haggar as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 January 2019. Peter McGregor, Acting CEO, will remain a board member post the leadership transition.
George brings extensive industry experience having worked at the senior executive leadership level for Murray River Organics, Costa Group and Visy. In his role at Costa Group, George led a substantial transformation and growth effort across the Australian business units that positively impacted all the critical value drivers of the fresh food supply chain.
George has been working closely with Peter McGregor as an Advisor to the Nutrano Board since July and will commence in his role as CEO with a solid understanding of the Nutrano business, bringing exceptional leadership, direction and passion that will enable Nutrano to leverage the continued consolidation and growth in the agricultural sector.
