China: "Onion export season has entered its final stage"

“Reviewing the export price of Chinese onions in December 2018, the increase compared with that of last year was around $30 per ton. But at this stage, the price of onions has stabilized in the export market,” said Wang Junjie from Henan Junzhian Food Co., Ltd.

"The current onion export season has entered the late stage, and the purchases of foreign buyers has been basically completed. Based on this, I do not think that the arrival of the Chinese New Year will have a great impact on the procurement process of overseas merchants."

"Our onions are mainly exported to the UK's Port of Felixstowe, the port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, the port of Genoa in Italy, Poland, Israel and other countries via Qingdao Port. The shipping time is about 35-40 days."

“We look forward to the new harvest season. According to the situation in previous years, the onions in Yunnan and Gansu producing areas will be listed in April and July respectively. In addition to fresh onions, we also want to export peeled garlic, fresh ginger, air dried ginger, peeled onions and frozen onions to the European market."
