"Israeli herbs remain in demand for chefs globally "

Even during the harsh winter days, the fresh cut herbs from Israel are in full supply and can certainly meet demands. They can be a fine substitute for the supply of herbs from Morocco, Spain and Italy, as the weather in these countries disrupts the supply of their traditional products (coriander, dill, mint and parsley).

The supply of the wide variety of products, and especially the basil from Israel during this period is stable and of excellent quality. Viva Agriculture’s aim is not to hold stock, but to receive the product in their warehouses and supply it to the customers as fast as possible.

Viva supplies fresh herbs from sources other than Israel. Herbs are bought from farms in different climate areas to ensure continuous supply throughout the year. Along with herbs, Viva regularly supplies peas and beans from African farms, increasing their diversity. Since the logistics in both herbs and veggies operations are similar, they’ve developed greatly in the past years, and volumes and expertise are growing rapidly.

For years now, there is a prosperity of Israel restaurants opening around the world. Israeli chefs who have succeeded in Israel have expanded their activities by opening chef restaurants in London, Paris, New York, Vienna, Bangkok etc. Following the opening of these restaurants, the chefs concluded that it is necessary to bring Israeli flavors to their kitchens. The spices of the Land of Israel that grow in ideal conditions of sun and heat are essential for passing these Mediterranean flavors to the plate.

Gal Yaari, Head of Quality Assurance Department, emphasizes from his point of view: "All products arriving at our depot in Israel are checked daily by Viva's professional quality inspectors prior to construction for customers. There is continuous monitoring of the temperature cool chain, including current ongoing reports from our warehouses in Europe and usage of temperature loggers. Viva is the only agricultural export company in the Israeli fresh cut herbs market that holds BRC Agents & Brokers certificate."
