Pick-up box at Tullnerfeld station

Interspar and ÖBB start cooperation

From now on, those who commute by train can look forward to a special service at the Tullnerfeld station: the INTERSPAR pick-up box. Using this service, groceries ordered online at interspar.at/foods can be picked up conveniently and easily at the Tullnerfeld train station on the way home. In addition to the pilot project at the Tullnerfeld station, additional pick-up boxes are planned for 2019 at the Lower Austrian train stations Wolf in der Au and Hadersdorf.

Living in the countryside and working in the city - commuters can enjoy the benefits of two worlds. But what literally falls by the wayside is time - time for the family, time for hobbies, time for shopping. INTERSPAR and ÖBB are therefore committed to providing customers with the best of both worlds when it comes to regular shopping: order online and pick up the groceries conveniently and quickly at the train station on the way home.

Quick shopping made easy
So that the food in the box will be waiting for pickup, a selection must be made online on interspar.at/lebensmittel. Some 22,000 everyday products are available. With a few clicks, everything can be ordered via smartphone, tablet or PC. Once the order has been placed, customers will receive the pick-up code by e-mail, which, once entered, will ensure the right box will pop open. Pickups are possible at any desired time slot, until 23:00 h if necessary. The service fee of €1,-  does not apply for purchase above €100,-.

Successful cooperation
With the pick-up boxes at Tullnerfeld station, INTERSPAR and ÖBB are continuing their success story of making life easier for commuters by supplying additional services at the station. Together with the INTERSPAR hypermarket, the small format INTERSPAR-pronto with extended opening hours and the restaurant Pasta & Café by INTERSPAR, the collection boxes open up a new INTERSPAR world at train stations.

Assortment and opening times are perfectly adapted to the needs of residents, employees of the surrounding offices and above all of the travelers. Thus, INTERSPAR and ÖBB continue to increase quality at the station for their customers.
