Qatar: Ministry of Public Health confirms safety Peruvian grapes

The Doha Ministry of Public Health revealed that laboratory test results from the fresh grapes originating from Peru, which were recently withdrawn from the market, showed their safety and compliance with the approved standards.

The Ministry had earlier withdrawn these grapes from the market, coordinating with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, following an international notification of possible contamination with pesticide residues.

The Ministry of Public Health now officially stated that the grapes comply with the standards of the market. The Ministry also said it is keen to ensure the safety standards of food, in cooperation with all related entities.
