Carrefour Bio launches a new store concept

With a network of 20 stores, Carrefour Bio continues to develop its offer with a new store concept. In Asnière-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine), the Carrefour Bio store is not like the others. With a surface of 2,690 square feet, this store promotes fruits and vegetables, displayed at the entrance. 98% of everyday items are sold without any packaging and 115 varieties instead of 80 are now available. Refrigerated shelves have been reserved for sensitive products. Carrefour Bio also improved its bulk assortment with 190 grocery items instead of the previous 30. The store now leaves more space to fresh produce and doubled its household and personal care products with currently 450 items. Finally, a traditional cheese counter was also added next to the checkout.

In France, three stores have already adopted this concept (Bolivar, Diderot and Asnière-sur-Seine). And Spain has 4 stores with the same format. Others plan to do the same this year.
