2018 has been a rather complicated year because of the increasing prices of raw materials in terms of paper and plastic. Logistics is affected by this as well as those companies producing pallet supporters.
Roberto Graziani of the Graziani Packaging company highlights that “despite these problems, our foreign income has increased by 7% in 2018. The corner protections are a crucial element for the global fruit and vegetable marketing. Quality corner protections allow the pallet to reach its destination in perfect conditions. We guarantee 15.000 km of logistic movement for each corner protection”.
The company will be present at the Fruit Logistica (hall 4.2, stand C12) to meet clients from all over the world and to make new contacts. From a productive standpoint, Graziani is mildly concerned about the decreasing quantities different parts of the world are experiencing. Because of the climatic conditions, there are fewer kiwis and citrus fruits and therefore fewer goods movement.
Graziani adds, “It might sound weird, but research must be steady in our sector as well. In the last years, we manufactured stronger corner protections which are lighter, at the same time. Five years ago, we had two types of corner protections of different quality. Today, we count five. Mechanical resistance is crucial, as long as the weight is equal or lower. Thanks to our research, we have been able to make them lighter and stronger”.
Graziani Packaging has extremely growth in Chile. Throughout South America, and especially in Chile, companies working high-quality produce are increasing. The standard has become so high that this produce is exported globally. In order to do that, it is necessary to rely on light and strong corner protection for the pallet.
The agreement with the “Mauro Benedetti Imballaggi Cartone Ondulato” company is still going strong. The two businesses want to improve the product offer and the services as well as to be closer to the customers thanks to a collaboration that makes Graziani the Benedetti canned food company representative in Emilia Romagna.
