Bio-Markt.info has reported that Roland Käpplein sold Käpplein Bio GmbH & Co. KG, which he founded and managed. The company, based in the south of Mannheim, was taken over by the newly founded Bio Manufaktur Waghäusl GmbH at the turn of the year. Its managing director is Sascha Schreier, who has been working as manager at Käpplein Bio since 2016.

Käpplein Bio has been supplying prepared salads since 1994, as well as salad dressings to bulk consumers and health food retailers.
