E. Leclerc signs an agreement to improve vegetable quality and enhance agricultural productions

E. Leclerc is investing again in the agricultural sector. The company has just signed a 3-year framework-agreement for its labels Marque Repère and Notre Jardin. The latter has contracted the purchase of 40,000 tons of vegetables each year with 3 agricultural groups: the Breton cooperative CECAB (which also manufactures the D’aucy brand), Bonduelle and Conserves de France. This represents 100 million items, in canned or frozen foods.

For the producers, the agreement brings volume guarantees (reviewed each year before planting), a jointly-determined price base and revision clauses to account for variations in the costs of production, raw materials, as well as metal, packaging and energy prices.
