100 tons of modern varieties expected to be sold

Fenaco goes for IP-Suisse apples

Fenaco Landesprodukte has started their cultivation of IP-Suisse apples, by several different producers. Around 100 tons of the red-skinned Ariane variety and the yellow-skinned Opal variety are expected to be sold this season.

The IP-Suisse apples are being cultivated in the east and west of Switzerland, according to a statement. "As a leading supplier of top fruit in Switzerland, we have a great responsibility for the entire value chain," says Christian Bertholet, Fruits manager at Fenaco Landesprodukte, "which is why we are looking for closer cooperation with producers."
