Agricultural exports between January and November of 2018 amounted to 5.748 billion dollars, i.e. 14% more than the 5.063 billion dollars achieved in the same period of 2017, reported the Association of Agricultural Producers' Guilds of Peru (AGAP).
This increase, they stated, was driven mainly by exports of fresh fruits and vegetables, which increased by 18% over the same period of 2017 and amounted to 2.758 billion dollars.
In the fruit category, Hass avocado led the exportable offer with shipments for 722 million dollars (increase of 25%). Its main destination markets were the Netherlands (267 million), the United States (175 million), Spain (110 million), the United Kingdom (66 million), and Chile (35 million).
