When desires and requirements change, it’s important to be able to quickly and efficiently realise new packaging solutions. That’s why Boix will organise a live demonstration of the MCT-1 tray machine during the Fruit Logistica, so that fair visitors can see all of its functions live, and so that they have an opportunity to ask questions.

Boix, manufacturer and global supplier of box erector machines, will spend considerable time on cardboard trays as sustainable packaging solution this Fruit Logistica 2019. During the fair, the packaging partner will present the MCT-1 tray erector machine for automatically and mechanically erecting trays of both corrugated and solid cardboard. Besides, Boix will use the international fair to introduce the latest Q-1500 V3 functions, such as remote access.

Boix MCT-1 tray erector for punnets and trays of solid and corrugated cardboard
The MCT-1 is an automatic and adjustable double-headed tray erecting machine. The compact packaging machine is mechanically driven by one engine that drives two adjustable heads using connecting rods. Because of this, the machine can simultaneously erect 6,000 to 7,000 trays of two different sizes of both solid and corrugated cardboard per hour. A qualified mechanic isn’t necessary to change sizes.

The tray erector is a starter model from the range of tray erecting machines of Boix Europe. Delivery time is between 30 and 60 days. The small cardboard trays that can be erected using this machine are very suitable for packing fruit and vegetables.

New functions Boix Q-1500 V3 tray erector
The Boix Q-1500 tray erecting machine – one of the most popular tray erectors within the Boix assortment – has been expanded with a number of new functions. Boix will introduce these during the Fruit Logistica. The most notable innovation is remote access in order to manage the machine from a distance. This function means the Boix Q-1500 tray erector is always within reach to read, guard and manage the data, no matter where you are in the world. This offers producers more convenience for managing the machine, technical analysis, data logging and maintenance. Other new functions include an increase of the standard maximum production speed from 1,500 trays per hour to 1,800 trays per hour, and an adjusted push position that guarantees a maximum compression time during the shaping of cardboard broadsheets.

The Fruit Logistica is the most important fair for the international fruit and vegetable trade, and takes place in Berlin from 6 to 8 February 2019. Boix can be found in Hall 6.1, stand number A-12.
