Breaking ground for retail innovation

China: Guo Guo Jia and The Shine Orchard merge

The Shine Orchard from Wuhan and Guo Guo Jia recently signed a merger agreement during an official signing ceremony. Both parties reached a strategic agreement. Guo Guo Jia was established in 2011 and specializes in the integration of plantations, processing, trade, retail, and the online sales of fruit. The company is active in northwest and north China. The Shine Orchard was established in 2012. Now, 6 years later, the company has more than 120 shops in Wuhan.

The merger of these two parties is the beginning of developments in four areas: supply chain management, trade, new retail, and information technology. After the merger, they will link operations across 7 provinces in west and north China. They will mainly target the development of trade and new retail opportunities in third and fourth tier cities.
