“Compared with fresh fruits and vegetables, the market supply of dried fruits is quite stable, mainly due to the fact that, firstly, dried fruits can be supplied continuously throughout the year, and the seasonal differentiation is relatively insignificant. Secondly, the shelf life of dried fruits is longer. Again, the price of dried fruit is less sensitive to fluctuations in the big market.” Mr. Zhou Fang, a dry fruit trader, said in an interview with Freshplaza.
“Our dried fruit is processed by an external processing factory. The products are mainly sold to wholesale markets and supermarkets in domestic first- and second-tier cities. At this stage, considering the logistics and other cost factors, we have not opened the export market. In the future, when the domestic sales market is mature, we will consider selling dried fruits overseas."
