The brand Naranja de Valencia has established a commercial relationship with ALDI, which will result in it being supplied in all of the retailer's stores in the Region of Valencia. The German chain has 75 stores in Valencian territory. This collective brand is formed by three companies in the sector (Tresfrut, Germans Fuster and Brío) together with the PGI Cítricos Valencianos.
According to Abel Alarcón, President of the Association for the promotion of the collective brand Naranja de Valencia, "working with ALDI is a very important step for the project, as it is giving us the opportunity to reach consumers in the three provinces of the Region of Valencia. The retailer is putting its trust in a promising brand that offers an excellent certified product with an elegant presentation."
ALDI is constantly looking for quality Spanish products
In the same context, Daniel Morant, commercial director of Original Valencia SL, the agency that sells the brand, says that "ALDI's initiative is praiseworthy. The German supermarket chain is constantly looking for quality Spanish products. It especially appreciates "proximity" products with certificates of origin, thereby defending the interests of the producers and laborers who supply their products. It aims to work as a socially responsible company."
"ALDI really looks after its fruit and vegetables section, promoting their consumption because of their health benefits. That is why it is strongly committed to seeking and offering fresh products of the highest quality, freshness and flavor. That's the reason why Naranja de Valencia has been selected, since it guarantees the fruit's origin and its certified quality through the PGI label, says Daniel Morant.
ALDI betting on proximity
As explained by the National Purchasing Office of ALDI Spain, "our chain arrived in Spain with its philosophy of offering its best products from all over Europe. At the same time, it wants to grow in a responsible manner, with a good assortment of Spanish products. The key is the origin and the proximity of each region. It is also required for the products to meet the highest quality standards, while always offering the fairest price to consumers."
