Blueberry Council launches partnership with Tia Mowry-Hardrict

Tia Mowry-Hardrict, actress, cookbook author and host of web series “Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix,” has officially signed on as the new celebrity spokesperson for the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council (USHBC). In her role, she will support the “Positively Bluetiful” campaign, with a focus on inspiring moderate users to enjoy blueberries in fun, easy ways – and helping solidify their standing as a shopping list staple.

A recent nationwide study conducted by the USHBC showed significant opportunity to increase blueberry consumption among these moderate users, or those who consume nearly 8 cups of fresh blueberries per year on average. This audience includes men and women of all ages, ethnicities and household incomes. They like to cook with fresh foods, but they still prioritize ease and convenience. And, they still differentiate on taste, citing blueberries as one of their favorite fruits, the study said.

“Our moderate users already love blueberries, which offer so many small, simple ways to bring healthful benefits into their diet. Through our marketing initiatives, we’re helping them explore and expand their uses for blueberries, adding delicious flavor into their busy lives,” said Victoria De Bruin, marketing manager, USHBC.

“Tia Mowry-Hardrict fits seamlessly into the Positively Bluetiful campaign, drawing on her experiences as a mom, actress, host and author. She’s already known and loved for her relatable charm and no-fuss approach to balancing a hectic schedule,” added De Bruin. “Now, we’re excited to share Tia’s expertise with a wide range of blueberry lovers everywhere, offering easy recipes, ideas and tips that bring the taste and convenience they crave.”

Consumers can join Tia Mowry-Hardrict’s nearly six million online fans to enjoy eye-catching, inspiring blueberry content posted on Instagram and other social channels. Content will include simple, on-trend blueberry recipes, fresh photography and engaging video, all shareable by USHBC and its members. In addition, she will promote blueberries via national media interviews and appearances.
