5 Chinese companies brought characteristic pepper products for the people of Calabria to sample. Li Xin, assistant to the general manager of Guizhou Lao Ganma Food Co., Ltd., said that there were 8 pepper product varieties that received high praise from the Italians.

The overall surface area devoted to pepper plantation in Zunyi exceeds 133 thousand hectares, which accounts for 3% of the surface area devoted to pepper plantation worldwide, 10% in China, and 40% in Guizhou Province. The fresh pepper production volume of Zunyi reached 2.7 million tons in 2018 with a production value of 1.15 billion USD. Zunyi is working hard to become a global pepper processing center, with the slogan "Chinese peppers, Zunyi flavor, global purchase".
