RedMoon® attended the Fruit Attraction and Interpoma fairs, where Barolli Australia signed the commercial license of RedMoon® branded varieties for Australia.
Australian Company Barolli Orchards is owned and run by Billy and Julie Barolli, who showed up at Interpoma fair for the official signing of the license and to meet other global partners.
Billy explains: "Barolli Orchards is a 3rd generation family owned business which is based in Shepparton, Victoria and Batlow, N.S.W. Australia. The Packhouse is based in Shepparton, supplying the major supermarkets and fresh fruit wholesale markets across the East Coast of Australia. Our Exports are predominately to the Asian and middle eastern markets, with future plans of expansion to the European Markets. The farming land between Shepparton and Batlow consists of approximately 180 hectares growing of Apples, Plums, and Pears.
"Over the last ten years our two sons Nathan and Dustin have joined the business bringing new ideas and innovation. The Barolli family decided to join the Redmoon company after many years of talking and viewing the amazing product. We found that RedMoon® had a clear vision of which direction they were heading to create and maintain sustainable brands and relationships. As a family owned company, we were very impressed with the professionalism, values, culture and passion that stood behind the brand, which gave us full confidence in building a long-term relationship.
"We plan on planting 100 hectares of RedMoon® at our orchards in Batlow, New south Wales, which is Australia's premium apple growing region sitting at 1000m elevation. Batlow is well known for its bright colouring of red apples so it’s exciting to see the potential for a deep internal red fleshed and amazing taste. By being a scab resistant apple it ticks all the boxes for responsible farming."
