Unlike their conventional colleagues, the producers of organic prunes in Agen are out of stocks: the French production is close to 2,000 tons a year, which is equivalent to the national consumption.
This year, unfortunately, the purchase price went down 20% on average compared to last year. The reason behind this? 1,000 tons of organic Moldavian plums intended for juice production were imported by a manufacturer and producer from the region, at a much lower price than the French equivalent.
