France has blockchain advice for Australian farmers

In France, it has been a good year with regard to blockchain technology. The country’s agricultural supply chain has been working to provide customers with greater levels of transparency and accountability when it comes to the transfer of goods across borders.

The United States has served as a positive example as well, with retail giant Walmart providing mechanisms for blockchain technology so that it is easier to track the transition of goods.

These serve as positive examples for Australia’s agricultural industry, which is starting to analyse the supply chain and how blockchain technology can provide support amid several issues. For instance, fruits have been contaminated by sewing needles and as a result, tons of fruit has been trashed. Blockchain technology may be able to resolve issues such as this one because it will help track exactly where the agricultural supply is.

New Zealand, which also receives the goods from Australia, is also interested in blockchain technology to protect its citizens and to prevent mismanagement issues.
