Trading companies urgently looking for storage capacity for 500 tons of dessert apples

Bottlenecks for pome fruit storage in Switzerland

The extremely extensive 2018 pome fruit yield currently leads to storage bottlenecks in Switzerland. Currently, several pome fruit trading companies are looking for suitable storage areas throughout Switzerland, according to umbrella organization Swisscofel.

Specifically, Swisscofel has made inquiries for the storage of a total of around 500 tonnes of dessert apples. Wanted are warehouses with CA conditions. The period required is that from now until at least the end of February 2019, a short statement said.
