As Australia gets into the festive spirit, strawberry growers have come out in force to say a special thank you for supporting them through a tough time and showing faith in their produce – farm fresh strawberries.
As with all farmers producing food for the nation, strawberry growers take pride in the quality and integrity of their produce and the tampering incidents in September-October 2018 were extremely disheartening and troubling.
But, strawberries are well and truly back on the family dinner table and part of traditional seasonal celebrations.
Growers sincerely appreciate that Aussies recognised there was no issue with the fruit and requested their local stores to return fresh strawberries to the shelves.
It was people-power that got the industry back on its feet again so quickly and the growers are now saying thank you in their own special way.
As well as a full page Thank You advertisement in newspapers across Queensland, the growers have released a social media video to say thank you directly from their families to the families of Australia.
