Ronnie Motorman, Willem Dijk AGF:

"Orange prices acceptable, fewer large sizes"

According to Ronnie Motorman of Willem Dijk AGF the orange prices are at an acceptable level at the moment. "Larger sizes in particular have a better price. Nature has meant that there are less large sizes on the market compared to previous years. We expect a normal season with Elegant, just slightly later than expected. There are almost never real shortages in Spanish oranges."

The supply of Filosofo oranges is sufficient, although there is also a small amount of large sizes. Our pride, Elegant, has had a slow start, the first two arrivals were of excellent quality, as the numbers weren't enough to foresee all Elegant fans. There still aren't huge amounts available, as the Aguado firm only loads the best under Elegant," concludes Ronnie.
