In the last few days, the SIFE Dal Bello company has been using the Ravenna harbour for shipping bananas from Ecuador. Then, the fruit is sent to Padova, where SIFE has a ripening plant. The transportation was made possible by the new Hapag-Lloyd feeder service which connects the Central and Southern-American West coast to the Ravenna harbour.

SIFE Dal Bello is a long-time operator specialised in exotic fruit. He is active in the Padova market. The harbours of Trieste, Venice and Ravenna are extremely convenient for a business like SIFE. Investments in general management are crucial. The DCS Tramaco from Ravenna managed the logistics regarding the shipment from the Guayaquil harbour to Italy on behalf of the importer.

In this way, it is possible to facilitate the market exchanges between North-Eastern Italy and Europe. We deal with perishable produce and therefore we need fast travel-routes.
