Two promotions for healthy snacks and salads company

Good Foods is pleased to announce the promotions of Danyel O’Connor and Juan Larios, both of whom have been named to the company’s executive team. O’Connor, now the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and Larios, now Director of Mexico Operations, were promoted from within the company after a consistent history of standout performances in their previous roles.

“Both Danyel and Juan bring a wealth of experience and passion to this executive team,” said Kurt Penn, CEO and Founder of Good Foods. “In addition to her considerable knowledge in sales and marketing, Danyel is an incredible positive force in the realms of innovation, talent-building and mentorship. Juan, who has more than three decades of specialized experience as a food professional, is uniquely suited for this role due to the depth, breadth and quality of his work in this industry.”

O’Connor, who will report directly to the founder & CEO, has an extensive specialty foods background. Prior to her promotion, she worked in tandem with Good Foods for more than nine years, including stepping up as EVP during a key transitional period in a consultant capacity. O’Connor’s role as a key member of the executive leadership includes establishing the company’s overall strategic direction and driving growth across Good Foods’ retail and foodservice business channels.

“In this new role, I’m looking forward to the incredible opportunity I have to leverage a solutions-oriented approach to achieve and elevate Good Foods’ sales and marketing objectives,” said O’Connor. “I could not be more grateful to work alongside these phenomenal professionals in order to manifest the executive team’s vision for this company.”

Larios brings to the role an impressive background as an industrial chemist and 30 years of combined experience leading operations teams and serving as a quality assurance technical service manager. Larios served in his previous role for 20 months before being promoted to Director of Mexico Operations, for which he will be primarily focused on expanding the company’s guacamole production in Mexico.

“Given our physical presence in Mexico beginning in September of last year, we are making a big move toward becoming international leaders in guacamole production and within the next 5 years,” Larios said. “I look forward to helping Good Foods advance our mission to provide healthy, wholesome food to our community while engaging in environmentally responsible practices.”
