Grupo Agroponiente has gained a new logistics and work center with the acquisition of Agrocastell, a leading name in the marketing of fruit and vegetables in the Costa de Granada and specifically in the town of Castell de Ferro. This entails that Grupo Agroponiente already has 25 logistics centers in the provinces of Almería, Granada, Jaén and Málaga, thus covering the entire South East of Spain.
The general director of Operations of Grupo Agroponiente, Antonio Román, highlighted that "the first challenge of Grupo Agroponiente is to be present wherever there is a producer. For us, it is very important to build an identity of our own in the Costa de Granada and to instill it in that productive area, thereby adding value to it. A great effort has been made because it was truly worth it."
Román also said that "our main commitment is to offer producers a service. Our function must always be to make things easier for them; to help them in their daily work with our collection centers; to reduce the need for transport and to give them a constant and valuable service. The challenge for us is to respond to their needs in a timely manner and to add value to their exceptional and indispensable work in all the provinces in which we are present."
