Production areas have few good-quality apples left

Trade in non-warehouse Fuji apples coming to an end

The trade in Fuji apples from production areas, not including those in warehouses, is coming to an end. There are few good-quality apples left in production areas. Trade mostly revolves around common apples and some second-grade apples as well. Apple farmers in Shandong continue to stock their warehouses, and in Shaanxi production areas only a small volume of apples is available to visiting traders. The price varies with the quality of the apples, which is not great this late in the season. The trade volume continues to shrink. Traders have begun to compete for Qinguan apples. The price is at its highest point this year. The average price is 1 yuan [0.14 USD] per 0.5 kg higher than in the same period last year.
