The company LubApple, one of the leading fruit producers in Poland, took part in the International Fruit and Vegetable Fair Fruit Attraction 2018, held in Madrid, where it managed to sign new contracts with companies from North Africa and the Middle East.
Fruit Attraction has become one of the most important events in the fruit and vegetable industry, with exhibitors from Europe, North Africa, the Middle East or South America taking part. In this year's tenth edition, over 1,600 companies from 120 countries around the world showcased their services for three days. Every year, the fair attracts nearly 60,000 visitors.
"This year's extraordinary supply of apples and soft fruits in Poland, but also in Europe, has meant that the entire industry is looking for buyers. Participation in Fruit Attraction is a great opportunity to sign new foreign contracts. For several years, we have been closely cooperating with the Spanish market, where we export our fruits, but we also hoped that thanks to this fair, we would be able to establish close cooperation with traders from southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, including: Portugal, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel or Dubai," says Zbigniew Chołyk, president of LubApple.
In this year's edition, LubApple showcased several of the most popular apple varieties, including Golden, Gala, Red Jonaprince and Idared. The Polish national stand, on which the Lublin company was exhibiting, enjoyed great interest from representatives of trade companies and wholesalers, as the country is one of the largest producers of apples in Europe.
"The organizers of the fair in Madrid emphasize that this is the most efficient international meeting when it comes to identifying the demand and supply of fresh products. For us, it was a great opportunity to initiate and develop commercial transactions with our partners," said Chołyk.
