On the evening of October 28th, several refrigerated containers arrived in Chongqing via the new interconnected land and sea route that joins the wider "one belt, one road" initiative. The first container was full of dragon fruit from Vietnam, while subsequent containers transported beef, shrimp, and pork skin. All these containers were specialized refrigerated containers.
Dragon fruit from Vietnam
The refrigerated containers left Fangcheng Harbor in northwest Guangxi on the morning of October 26th and traveled to Chongqing in 50 hours. The shipment included 8 BX1K-class refrigerated containers, and 17 other containers.
Vietnamese dragon fruit
The 25 containers included 16 containers with beef, 2 containers with shrimp, 6 containers with dragon fruit, and 1 container with pork skins. All were destined for markets in Chongqing and nearby areas.
