Sales volume increased by 30%-40%

China: Seasonal fruit sells well

The weather has turned cold and the season has also changed for the fruit in the Nantong Market. The peak of seasonal autumn fruit retail has begun. Data on agricultural distribution and fruit trade shows that the current sales volume of fruit increased by nearly 40% in comparison with the same period last year.

Traditional seasonal fruits such as pomelo, apples, and tangerines sell particularly well. Pomelo production enjoyed an abundant harvest this year. The average price of honey pomelo decreased by nearly 20%. Apples and tangerines suit everyone at a reasonable price. They are the driving force of the fruit market, as always.

Top-quality fruits are also a point of interest in the late autumn market. Data shows that grapes, pomegranates, and dragon fruit are selling particularly well. The "Tunisian seedless pomegranate" is popular with consumers. The price is relatively high, but the seedless pomegranate is easy to eat, and many people in the cities are willing to pay for that. The wholesale price of seedless pomegranate is currently at 85 yuan [12.24 USD] per box. Apart from this, the price of Vietnamese red heart dragon fruit decreased by nearly 20%, but the trade volume nearly doubled in comparison with the same period last year.
