The dream is to be able to export ready-to-eat produce by plane, in an efficient and sustainable way. From Salerno to Norway within 4 hours instead of 4 days. The Gruppo Adinolfi participates in Fruit Attraction Madrid – the company is renowned for its new Italian Leaf brand.
The administrative manager Omero Montella states, “We export 60% of the produce all over Europe. We have important clients in Norway - a country that we reach after a 4-day road trip. By the end of the year, they will start working on the Salerno airport so that eventually it will be used for the cargo service. It should be launched by 2021. As soon as this becomes a reality, we will be able to export our production to Norway within 4 hours, instead of the usual 4 days”.

The company has 300 hectares, 50 hectares of which are devoted to organic farming. The latter is constantly increasing due to the increasing demand for organic produce.
Montella concludes, “We are investing in the organic not only because our clients are demanding it but also because we believe that this is not a trend. Rather, an indication of increasingly aware clients. I would not be surprised if the organic should become a prerequisite in a few years”.
