"Passion fruit production areas in China are distributed over a wide range with major production areas concentrated in Guangxi, Fujian, and Yunnan, as well as Taiwan. Farmers most commonly plant the purple passion fruit variety that is most often seen on the market. The yellow passion fruit variety cultivated in South America, however, has a more concentrated flavor in comparison with the purple passion fruit variety. The fruit is more sour and also juicier."

"Our company owns 333 hectares of passion fruit plantation in Jiangcheng County, Pu'er City, Yunnan. We have introduced the yellow passion fruit variety Passiflora edulis var flavicarpa from abroad.
