There was a lot of interest for the asparagus weigher/tier displayed at the International Asparagus Days by Multi Import. Italian and foreign operators wanted to know more about a harvester that reduces processing and bunch preparation times.

"There was a lot of interest as producers or companies that process asparagus need reliable precise machines. At the fair, we showcased a few new products that improve the machines already available in our catalog," explained sales manager Mario Cosattini.
The main introduction is the new weigher that ties bunches with an elastic. Operators just need to place the produce on the scales and the machine ties it automatically.
"Operators from Puglia, Veneto and Campania, where production is highly specialized and weighted packaging is highly needed."
A good level of interest was also shown for an entry-level tier with no weighing tool.
